Spouse: Jeanette Dousdebas Rubio. A former US pro cheerleader and staunch Catholic, she is reportedly a part-time employee of the Norman Braman Family 2011 Charitable Foundation, which also funds her husband, according to the Washington Post. She hosts a Bible study class at home; the Rubio’s attend Christ Fellowship, an evangelical Christian nationalist mega-church. 

Qualifications: A Florida Latino and GOP Senator since 2010; former presidential rival of Trump. Rubio served as a foreign policy advisor to Trump 1.0. He is a former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives (R-Miami, 2006-2008).

Disqualifications: Rubio has long been criticized for very close ties with the Geo Group, one of the two top US private prison operators (with Core Civic) now contracting to build and manage internment facilities for Trump 2.0’s massive ICE immigration detention and deportation plan. 

Views: Staunch foreign policy views against China, Venezuela and Iran – top countries viewed as enemies by Project 2025. In a break from Trump and Project 2025, Rubio co-sponsored legislation to stop the US from pulling out of NATO. He now appears to support a settlement between Russia and Ukraine that would leave Ukraine outside of NATO and could result in a significant  loss of territory for Ukraine.
